Ms. Patel has been a licensed attorney since 1990 and has
been practicing corporate law in various industries including
technology, commercial business transactions, and
employment. She has served as an assistant attorney
general at the NJ state department specializing in
employment litigation.
Ms. Patel received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston
College in 1990 and Law degree in 1993 from Suffolk
University Law School. From 1995 – 2000 Ms. Patel was a
Deputy Attorney General with the State of New Jersey, where
she defended the largest health care institution in New
Jersey, UMDNJ and its affiliate hospitals, in complex
litigation matters in state and federal courts and before
administrative tribunals. Ms. Patel then joined a fortune 500
global technology company headquartered in New Jersey
where she drafted and negotiated multimillion dollar
contracts with Fortune 100 companies such as IBM,
Microsoft, Broadcom etc. Ms. Patel has drafted and
negotiated numerous contracts related to: software licensing,
software development and marketing, hardware purchases,
professional consulting contracts, outsourcing and non-
disclosure agreements.
Ms. Patel is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association
and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
